Canberra Centre exhibit floor talk
Join us on Saturday 21 November 2020 with a selection of artists from our Canberra Centre exhibitions where they will discuss the works on display.
Canberra centre exhibitions include:
- Emerging Contemporaries is the Craft ACT National Award Exhibition for early-career artists. This exhibition plays a pivotal role in supporting and transitioning artists into professional practice and placing Australian artists in view of the national cultural collecting institutions, business and industry, and audience.
- Graphic Interventions exhibition takes a look back at previous DESIGN Canberra Graphic Intervention pop up murals that have been on display during DESIGN Canberra festival. Each year, local artists and designers are invited to submit their best designs based on the yearly theme to splash through the city in November.
- A Common Thread by emerging makers Sam Gold (SA) and Harriet McKay (ACT) is a contemporary and multidisciplinary collaboration encompassing textile painting, ceramic sculpture and installation. The exhibition is fundamentally concerned with how connection to a material connects us as humans.
