‘Celebration’ is an exhibition of felt works made by participants in the 2022 Canfelt Along. Through a series of videos released over four weeks in August 2022 by the Canberra Region Feltmakers, participants discovered new approaches and were inspired to experiment with their own felt making techniques. At the conclusion of the process, participants had created a series of small felt objects, which they transformed from a collection of parts and non-traditional materials into a festive piece to celebrate a time of sharing and renewal. The works are exhibited in the real world ‘Celebration’ exhibition in Kambah and in an online gallery. An exhibition shop will also be open where visitors can purchase hand-felted items in readiness for the holiday season.
