In this introductory ceramic workshop, four artists from Belconnen Arts Centre will learn the techniques of slip casting and will be introduced to the process of glazing and firing. The workshop will be held over two sessions, the first to produce work using prepared moulds and the second to glaze and pack the kiln for a firing.

Strathnairn Arts studio holder Sarah Humphrey will be delivering the workshop. Humphrey has a background as an arts educator working for Arts Project Australia, Studio ARTES and the Bella Program at the MCA. She is an advocate for inclusion and accessibility and is interested in supporting platforms which engage all members of the community with the arts.
