Creative Careers 2018

Interested in a sustainable and successful creative career? Join several leading Canberra creatives as they share tips and tricks for pursuing satisfying careers in design.

For everyone of all ages, adults and students. Back for the third year in a row, this is an opportunity for all Canberrans to become inspired for a career in the design arts, as special invited guests provide a glimpse into their journey towards success in creative industries. Presenters are drawn from across the creative disciplines and will share their wisdom alongside host Chris Endrey – one of Canberra’s most prolific multidisciplinary artists.

Richard Whiteley: Head of Glass Workshop, ANU School of Art and Design

Andy Sharp: Director, Place and Design, City Renewal Authority

Davey Barber: 5 Foot Photography

Richilde Flavell: Girl Nomad Ceramics

Matthew Adey: House of Vnholy

Sarah Kelly: My Fashion Empire

Zane Taylor: Industrial Designer, Red Robot Industries

Jesse Zhang: Freelance Animator

 

Attendees will also have the chance to chat with representitives from creative departments from the Australian National University, University of Canberra, Canberra Institute of Technology and the Academy of Interactive Entertainment.

Winners of the Instagram Photo Comp and Blueprint Design Showcase will also be announced on the night.

Light refreshments and live music provided.

This event is free, however registrations are essential as capacity is limited.
