DIFFERING PERSPECTIVES FLOORTALK: WITH DR MILICA MUMINOVIĆ
Craft ACT is excited to present a floor talk with Dr Milica Muminović, Assistant Professor of Architecture (University of Canberra), where she will discuss Craft ACT’s current exhibition, Differing Perspectives.
Differing Perspectives is an exhibition of sculptural objects and pieces of furniture by Calum Hurley and Jordan Leeflang which respond to photographs of metropolitan Japan. Hurley and Leeflang are emerging makers and JamFactory Furniture Studio associates who draw on their backgrounds in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design.
Specializing in architecture, urban design and place identity, with a particular focus on Japan and interdisciplinary collaboration, Dr Muminović’s own professional background shares striking synergies with the themes explored in Differing Perspectives.
Having completed her PhD in Japan, Dr Muminović will discuss the work in the context of the everyday urban fabric of Tokyo, unpacking the rhythms, repetitions and immersive experiences of such urban spaces, from a foreigner’s eye.
Hurley and Leeflang will also make a special appearance via Zoom during this presentation.
Differing Perspectives is on display at Craft ACT until August 22.
