Elevate Running & Fitness: Learn to Run Session
Elevate Running will be running weekly running groups throughout the DESIGN Canberra festival. The second of these will be a beginners session that will provide a brief technique tutorial, followed by a 25 minute run/walk to Commonwealth Park.
All sessions will include 10 minutes introduction and warmup, and 5 minute cool down/stretching at Civic Square. Please read through the program requirements below:
• all participants must complete the attached Elevate Running & Fitness Information and Waiver
• participants must pre-register
• cap numbers to 15 per session
• participants encouraged to bring a water bottle and to wear clothing suitable for running
Elevate Running aims to deliver Canberra-based coached running groups, with a focus on technique and strength for all levels of runners, and developing a passion for trail and mountain running. There are currently 3 groups that meet each week during the ACT School Terms. Elevate Runners are invited to monthly trails runs exploring the beautiful trails around Canberra, and to a Parkrun visit each term.
