Glass Utopia Exhibition

Inspired by the Murano glass chandelier that Italian architect Enrico Taglietti installed for the Italian Ambassador’s Residence in Canberra – most likely the first example of a bridge between the Venice glass making and the Australian national capital – this exhibition draws a parallel between the Venetian contemporary glass production and the Australian one. A selection of glass pieces by Italian and Australian designers will be displayed in order to stimulate a visual dialogue between the objects, activated by the numerous common elements.

Glass Utopia is curated by Annalisa Rosso and Francesco Mainardi of Mr.Lawrence, Milan, Italy.

Mr.Lawrence is a Design and Brand Consultancy founded in 2018 by Annalisa Rosso, design writer, content consultant and independent curator, currently editor-in-chief of Icon Design magazine (Mondadori); and Francesco Mainardi (aka theBrandist), brand strategist and creative director, currently professor of Design Management at Istituto Marangoni.
