Open Studios: Judi Power Thomson
Judi has been painting and drawing all her life but only became a full-time visual artist in 2002. She works and teaches in all media and has artworks in oil, watercolour, acrylic, mixed media and graphite in her studio with subjects including landscapes, seascapes, figurative work, portraits, dancers, musicians and wildlife,
Judi has been teaching at the Belconnen Arts Centre for a total of four years. In her own studio she does portraits on commission while her current work concentrates on achieving the correct balance between wild, loose work in paint and tight, detailed work in pencil in the one canvas.
Visitors will be treated to a large selection of original artworks in all media displayed throughout the studio, and greeting cards and colour prints of many works will be available for sale.
