Public Art Walk with Neil Hobbs and the TWINS

Twin Minigagarin at Canberra Airport

Join Neil Hobbs in the Canberra Airport departures foyer at the Plastique Fantastique TWIN MINIGAGARIN installation for a guided Public Art Walk.

The Canberra Airport provides a stimulating environment for travelers, with a group of commissioned sculptures by renowned artists, including Phil Price, Haruyuki Uchida and Andrew Rogers. Neil will share his insights on this group of unique site specific pieces and his perspective on the temporary inflatable structure, TWIN MINIGAGARIN.

Neil Hobbs is a FAILA registered Landscape Architect and founding partner at Harris Hobbs Landscapes. An alumni of the University of Canberra, Neil specialises in commercial and government sector projects ranging from preliminary design through to documentation and construction.

Neil has participated in a number of allied organisations, including membership to the Governing Council of the Gallery of Australian Design. He is twice the Past National President of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, and has served as a member of the AILA National Council for nearly a decade.

We are delighted to have Neil involved in DESIGN Canberra and hope you will join us for this special tour.

Spaces are limited and bookings are essential.

Designer Yena Young, and the Plastique Fantastique installations, are guests of the festival thanks to generous support from the Goethe Institut, the Capital Airport Group and the Delegation of the European Union.
