Morning Yoga Week Two
We know that yoga rejuvenates our bodies and calms our minds, and one of the ways we practice giving without expectation is by sharing our love for yoga.
Free yoga sessions will run every Thursday morning throughout the DESIGN Canberra festival. You are invited to meet us bright and early at the DESIGN Canberra festival hub in City Walk for this refreshing Wellness event. These sessions are designed to be enjoyed by the general public and are appropriate for beginners through to advanced skill levels.
The instructor of this session is Matty.
Exploring the balance between strength, stability, ease and grace, Matty’s flowing vinyasa sequences will motivate you to discover greater freedom and growth in your yoga practice. As a strength and conditioning coach, Matt started yoga in 2013 to learn more about mobility. Combining yoga with weightlifting, powerlifting, crossfit and gymnastics he swiftly experienced yoga’s ability to enhance sporting performance, provide mental clarity and reduce predisposition to injury. With over 600 hours of formal teacher training, in Australia and internationally, Matty’s classes draw from his experiences exploring many schools of yoga including Iyengar, Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. Matty’s classes foster a sense of belonging that will allow you to safely challenge your perceived physical and mental limitations through your yoga practice.
Spaces are limited and bookings are essential.
Due to COVID-19, participants are required to bring their own mat.
