Open Studio: Hearth Studio (Teffany Thiedeman)

Teffany Thiedeman is an artist and educator who works predominantly in clay. She frequently collaborates with other artists, children and the maker curious to catalyse creative opportunities. Her studio is also her home and inspiration and she loves to invite people in.

Chill out on the garden, which is abundant and joyful. Teffany’s home studio is set in the grounds of an original Canberra Cottage in Yarralumla and is shared with bee hives, a giant gum tree, chickens and other animals. Purchase a slice of pizza freshly baked from a wood fired clay oven and served on an original Fetish Designs plate. Check out her work in progress and older works settled in the garden.

DESIGN Canberra acknowledges the Ngunnawal people as the traditional custodians of the ACT and surrounding areas. We honour and respect their ongoing cultural and spiritual connections to this country and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region. We aim to respect cultural heritage, customs and beliefs of all Indigenous people.
