Open Studio

Koitoya Design/Make/Teach’s open at 10:00am – 4:00pm on 12 November at 1/7 William St, Oaks Estate, ACT.

Hiroshi Yamaguchi runs a wooden furniture making studio for commission as well as woodwork classes. He aims to add skillful and authentic Japanese detail to his design. He seeks sustainable timbers obtained locally, including street trees. Visitors can expect a chopstick workshop, where you will create and take home your own chopsticks, and there will be works available for purchase.

DESIGN Canberra acknowledges the Ngunnawal people as the traditional custodians of the ACT and surrounding areas. We honour and respect their ongoing cultural and spiritual connections to this country and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region. We aim to respect cultural heritage, customs and beliefs of all Indigenous people.
