Open studio

This Open Studio will be open on 12 November from 10am-4pm at 4/18 Maryborough Street, Fyshwick.

Hiroshi Yamaguchi runs a custom timber furniture studio and woodwork classes. He aims to add skilful and authentic Japanese detail to his designs. He sources sustainable timbers obtained locally, including Canberra street trees and recycled timber.

Open workshop will be back again!

Hiroshi will have small crafts available for sale. Commissioning details and examples of past work will be on display. Class information will be available and bookings for 2022 sessions will open on this day. At the open workshop you will have the opportunity to try out some Japanese tools or make your own chopsticks!

DESIGN Canberra acknowledges the Ngunnawal people as the traditional custodians of the ACT and surrounding areas. We honour and respect their ongoing cultural and spiritual connections to this country and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region. We aim to respect cultural heritage, customs and beliefs of all Indigenous people.
