Public art and architecture walking tour: City Walk and surrounds

Some of the greatest design embraces collaboration between architects and other creatives including artists.

Join curator, writer and art historian, Deborah Clark on a guided walking tour exploring the marriage of public art and architecture in Canberra City. See old favourites in a new light and discover untold stories of Canberra’s rich public art collection.

The 45 minute tour will kick off at 12:30pm from the hub of festival activities at City Walk, outside the David Jones’ entry to Monaro Mall and will explore iconic Canberra public artworks including: Frank Hinder’s Star ceiling (1963), Jan Brown’s Icarus series (2009), Herbert Thompson’s Civic carousel (c1914), Amanda Stuart’s Bush pack (2011) and Robert Woodward’s The Canberra Times Fountain (1979)

.Numbers are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. BYO umbrella for inclement weather. Recommended comfortable walking shoes are worn.
