Reflective Clay workshop
Feed your mind and nourish your soul in this Reflective Clay Workshop. Along the way, you will learn some skills as we focus our attention in the moment and on the task of making an ephemeral Seed Vessel. A symbol of hope.
This is a mindfulness practise. Learning to be fully present in the moment but focussing on the tactility of clay and the act of making. By making an ephemeral object, participants will practise letting go of attachment. An important skill in stressful times.
About the teacher: Fran Romano is a Canberra-based ceramist. Working from her home studio in Canberra, her ceramics journey began many years ago, but since studying more seriously through the ANU School of Art + Design in the 2010’s, Fran has taken the plunge full-time. Casual community teaching work and her design practice complement her art-making; whilst a background in Social Work informs a range of courses Fran offers, aimed at mindful, focused making for well-being.
