Ruby Berry is a Canberra based textile artist who creates three-dimensional sculptural textile works. Her work explores comfort and discomfort, containment and control.

She uses wool, silk and beeswax combined with spinning and weaving to create objects that inform and reflect the body. These objects act as a physical record of her gestures of making, capturing the intimacy, time and energy devoted to the work.

Visitors to Ruby’s open studio will get a chance to see her diverse textile processes and demonstrations of spinning and weaving techniques. Large and small scale works will also be on display with a selection available for purchase.
