Sensing Space: Embodied Perception of Geometry in Architecture

Close your eyes with contemporary artist Genevieve Swifte and Feldenkrais practitioner Eva Culek for a multi-sensory experience of geometry in this immersive 3 hour workshop. Inspired by the philosophies of Bachelard, Pallasmaa and the spirit of the Bauhaus, participants will be guided through drawing and movement exercises to open the eyes of the skin and refine sensory thinking and sensitivity.

This workshop will evoke heightened awareness and illuminate the subtle and finely calibrated ways our senses organise spatial perception. Geometry as you’ve never experienced it before. Bring a blanket or yoga mat, all drawing materials will be provided.
