Studio Glass by Ruth Oliphant
Glass artist Ruth Oliphant explores the interrelationships between place, perception and visual memory. She uses architecture to explore these subjects, viewing them as both human creations and creators of human experience. These structures act as filters of perception, mirroring the permeation of light through the buildings and glass present in her work. Ruth is a graduate of ANU School of Art and Design with an ongoing Canberra-based studio practice. She has had several residencies and many exhibitions across Australia and internationally with particular connection to the glass community in the USA.
