Teffany Thiedeman: Open Studio

Home is where the Art is. Teffany calls her workshop Hearth. Her studio practice embraces everything she loves about working from her small suburban home. She tends an oasis of diversity amongst the growing concrete and monocultural development of the urban landscape, with her artwork, her backyard garden and its wildlife, bee hives, a veggie patch and a clay pizza oven.

Teffany makes ceramic work that embraces creativity and the imagination, drawing upon forgotten stories and dreams to reimagine the future and using natural geometry as the inspiration to connect these creations to the living world.

Her open studio will offer an intimate look at natural geometry at work in the garden. Fetish Designs: mythological, figurative, elaborate, boutique handmade domestic ware made in her home workshop. An exhibition of a new ceramic work. Slices of homemade wood fired pizza seasoned from the garden straight from the oven.
