Open Studio: Tiffany Abbott

Tiffany Abbott is a freelance costume cutter and maker for professional theatre, film & television. Previously based out of Melbourne, she has made costumes for Melbourne Theatre Company, Victorian Opera, Dancing with the Stars, main stage musicals, and various other production companies. She has experience in a wide range of styles including ballroom dancewear, military attire, 1920’s, drag costumes, couture and 17th century puritans to name a few.

Tiffany has managed construction for productions with over 100 costumes and complex makes for quick changes and striking reveals. Outside the entertainment industry she also produces made-to-measure garments, bridal wear and special occasion outfits.

Having recently relocated to Canberra, Tiffany is currently set up in her house. In her studio she will be working on current projects and displaying previous ones. Tiffany will have past costumes on display as well as photographs from productions that they featured in. All of her work is made to order but for the open studio she will make a selection of ready-to-wear ladies garments for sale.
