Learn the basketry technique of twining with hand waxed beeswaxed thread. Using a variety of hand-spun wool and waxed threads we will construct delicate palm sized vessels with focus on form and pattern. The tactile waxed thread allows for sculptural freedom and responsive forms. Participants will also receive a special take-home materials pack of waxed thread and hand spun wool prepared by the artist to continue with their creative endeavours after the class has finished.
