Workshop One. Design your own typeface with Wayne Thompson.

In this workshop, you will learn how to make your idea for a typeface come to life. We’ll start with some basic principles about proportions, consistency, legibility, and a little bit of history. Then you’ll get drawing, and learn how to apply your idea consistently across the full character set. If you already have a typeface in progress (Glyphs and Fontlab users welcome), bring it along for critique and guidance. This workshop is loosely structured with time for one-on-one guidance built-in. It’s all about doing, not watching!
