Join the Australian Institute of Architects for a rare opportunity to tour specialist education facilities around Canberra. Learn about the collaborative design behind each facility and key design concepts supporting educational outcomes. The tour will cover four educational facilities.
The Namadgi School by Guida Moseley Brown Architects
This preschool to Year-10 school is designed to support flexible collaborative pedagogy. It encompasses junior and senior student ‘learning communities’ and allows community groups to share the facilities.

Tuggeranong Introductory English Centre, Wanniassa Hills Primary School by May and Russell Architects
This specialist learning facility is for primary school-aged children with little or no former English skills. Children take intense English classes before entering mainstream schooling.
Opening times: 11.00am – 12.00pm, tour commences at 11.15am
Snow Centre for Education, Asian Centre, Canberra Grammar School by Daryl Jackson Alastair Swayn Architects
This is conceptually and physically designed to transform learning and teaching. It places Asian Studies at the heart of the curriculum and facilitates open, collaborative and self-directed learning to equip students with the critical capacity, skills and confidence to thrive.

This is the first purpose-built facility in the ACT designed to cater to parenting students, helping them to learn in a holistic educational environment.
