The Kids’ Glass Design Competition invites ACT and regional kids to consider what the Kingston Power House, a building of industrial and architectural significance, means to them in 2015. Young designers will choose a glass process or technique to create their work—kiln formed glass, cast glass or hot blown glass. Shortlisted winners will then work with a professional artist in a special workshop session during DESIGN Canberra to develop their designs. Competition age categories: 3 to 8 years; 9 to 13 years; 14 to 17 years. Winners will keep the finished works, which will be presented to them at a special event in January 2016. This project is generously supported by Rock Development Group, DESIGN Canberra and ACT Children’s Week.
