This is a rare opportunity to meet and see the workshop and studio of one of the region’s premier commission-based furniture designer and craftsman, Myles Gostelow. Myles is regarded as a true craftsman and his pieces are highly sought after. His workshop and studio are located in the Arts and Craft Precinct of Tharwa, which has a strong historical association with Canberra’s arts and craft scene. Myles specialises in designing and making beautiful and unique pieces of furniture and functional artworks for the domestic market, as well as large-scale public pieces. He will discuss some of the processes involved in his craft and will explain how he employs different techniques and skills, making his business unique around the region.
