Lisa Cahill, Kirstie Rea and Julie Ryder are all professional artists who work from their studios at The Hayshed in leafy Pialligo. This open studio will start with a welcome introduction, followed by each artist presenting informal floor talks about their work and studio. Visitors will be able to engage, ask questions and buy work directly from the artists.
Lisa and Kirstie use glass as their primary medium. Both artists have established careers and exhibit their work nationally and internationally in solo and selected group exhibitions. Teaching in their field of kiln formed glass, undertaking commission work and working on school projects are all part of their practices. Both are members of Ausglass and keen supporters of Canberra Glassworks. Julie has been a professional textile artist for more than 25 years and also exhibits nationally and internationally. Her work is represented in many public galleries and she also produces a unique range of hand-printed homewares for retail from The Hayshed.
