Do you have an idea for a workshop?

Craft ACT are currently on the lookout for makers to run engaging workshops that embrace our passion for craft, design and collaboration during the 2020 DESIGN Canberra Festival (9-29 November). Whether you are a solo artist, group or organisation, we want to hear your ideas.

This year we will be offering two types of workshops: 1-hour weekday lunchtime workshops and 3-hour Saturday afternoon workshops. Workshops will be structured as follows:

Weekday lunchtime workshops (1 hour, 12:30 – 1:30pm)
These workshops are great for people to pop by in their lunch break. A typical format might include a 15-20-minute presentation/demo and then a hands-on making/activity.
No of participants: 15 people max, min 8
Artist fees: $250. This includes:
– $100/hour teaching fee (in line with NAVA workshop guidelines)
– $150 materials and preparation time

Saturday afternoon workshops at Craft ACT (3 hours, 12:30-3:30pm)
These workshops are great for participants that want to get a bit more involved in a process.
No of participants: 8 people max, min 5
Artist fees: $520. This includes:
– $100/hour teaching fee (in line with NAVA workshop guidelines)
– $220 materials and preparation time
Craft ACT is able to provide up to 2 volunteers to assist you with your workshop, if required. If the workshop does not meet its minimum quota, Craft ACT reserves the right to cancel the workshop, in which case a $100 cancellation fee will be paid.
