Impressive rise in the World Rankings for University of Canberra

The University of Canberra continues to rise in the world rankings, to be placed 193rd in the world and 10th in Australia.

The 2020 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, released on Thursday, show the University has jumped 69 places to 193, up from 251-300 in 2019.

The University is now ranked well within the top 1% of universities globally, having shown an improvement across all the indicators, reflecting the University’s balanced approach to all its endeavours.

Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Deep Saini said the result was particularly impressive for a young university.

“This result confirms the steady strengthening of the quality at the University of Canberra, thanks to the outstanding work of our research, teaching and professional staff,” Professor Saini said.

A young university with a bold vision. The University of Canberra has been teaching and guiding the nation’s designers of tomorrow – from architecture to industrial design and graphic design – for over 40 years.

That dynamic mix of vibrancy and legacy, and leadership role in Canberra’s vibrant design community, makes University of Canberra an ideal partner for DESIGN Canberra and we’re really excited to have them on board as a platinum partner.
