Rolfe Classic BMW Twilight Drives

This year’s DESIGN Canberra will welcome two twilight drives exploring Canberra’s outstanding landscape and architecture from behind the wheel of a BMW. Rolfe Classic BMW has continually been a key partner of DESIGN Canberra, embracing luxurious designs that travel our global city.

DESIGN Canberra’s annual BMW Twilight Drive is a unique opportunity to test drive new BMW models at iconic design destinations throughout the national capital. Experience the ambient lighting of the BMW interiors at dusk, and the latest technology in headlights as the sun sets. Each evening we will visit multiple iconic Canberra locations, curated by DESIGN Canberra and led by architects and designers.

The Landscape edition of BMW Twilight Drive will be led by award-winning landscape architects Anna Chauvel (Place Laboratory) and Andy Sharp (Place Intelligence). Starting and finishing at Rolfe Classic BMW, the drive will explore the National Arboretum Canberra; National Gallery of Australia Sculpture Garden; and the Garden of Australian Dreams at the National Museum of Australia. These sites capture the reciprocal relationship between manmade designs and the natural environment, showcasing the creative landscaping which has shaped Canberra.

The Three Peaks edition will discover our city’s design secrets through admiring the incredible views of Mt Ainslie, Red Hill and Black Mountain. The Three Peaks edition of BMW Twilight Drive will be led by Ann Cleary (Senior Lecturer in Architecture, University of Canberra). The three peaks are essential elements to the central Canberra design axis, this drive will reveal how our incredible organic scenes have inspire designers.

Care for creativity with DESIGN Canberra’s Rolfe Classic BMW Twilight Drives as you drive through the global designs our cities makers have crafted.
