The City Renewal Authority is delighted to be partnering with Craft ACT on the DESIGN Canberra Festival for 2022 and we’re thrilled to be a part of its return.
In leading the transformation of the City Precinct, the Authority is shaping the heart of Canberra into a diverse and vibrant city where people can live, explore and enjoy.
Collaborating with our local community, businesses and organisations such as Craft ACT, is essential to this vision by increasing visitation, driving sustainable investment and curating high-quality, creative places.
Together with Craft ACT and festival partners, the Authority will support the festival through the Festival Hub located in Civic Square with art installations, workshops and the Festival Hub Shop – conveniently located in the recently reinvigorated Second Space studio in the North Building.
We’re also thrilled to sponsor the Creative Kids program, mural creation in Civic Square and the Discover Trail, designed to display artwork for the community across City West.
I’m particularly looking forward to the Creative Kids Design Thinking workshops and seeing the future of Canberra unfold through their eyes throughout the festival.
We’ll see some incredible works and activities throughout the festival and I wish the team all the best in delivering such an innovative program.
