Dimity Kidston is a textile artist whose desire is to bring a contemporary Australian voice to the ancient medium of tapestry weaving. Her current tapestries are inspired by memories of family holidays at the beach collecting shells and other found objects. By employing various combinations of fine coloured threads, Dimity creates colourful, decorative images.

Dimity will be giving demonstrations of colour blending and weaving at her loom. There will also be looms set up for visitors to have a go on a tapestry and opportunities to view and purchase Dimity’s work.
