Tania Vrancic: Open Studio

Creating art is often a journey of self-discovery. Tania Vrancic tends to make intuitively with the subtle meaning behind her work unfolding over time. Her earlier work has included the investigation of women of influence through the creation of hand impressed porcelain vases based on her grandmother’s heritage and culture in Finland. Her latest series of work is reminiscent of mossy, lichen covered rocks and trees found here in Australia and her childhood home, Finland. She enjoys the challenge of working with porcelain and its translucency.

Tania’s contemporary home in Red Hill will display her artworks throughout the lower level of the house including her bright little studio. Ceramic demonstrations will be held throughout the day. Visitors will enjoy browsing through porcelain vessels, platters, jewellery and hanging ornaments, a perfect way to begin some early Christmas shopping.
